Secure Digital EEPROM |
This little SD-card ads 2 GigaBytes of datastorage The capacity of these tiny plastic cards really is phenomenal. They can ad years of high resolution datalogging in a thumbnail to new or existing equipment. This is the first experimental setup to create an SPI-link from the SD-card to the microcontroller.

Wireless dataloggers |
This is the starting point for a system where dataloggers and other instruments will be interconnected by Bluetooth modules. This will give way for new methods of measuring in different locations at the same time without the burden of cables an wires.
You will be able to measure at different places, even different rooms, in your home or office symultaniously and find out relationships between temperatures or other parameters you measure. You can find ways to save on energy this way!
Using prototypes of this system we realized 20% savings on energy bills in our home. Right now we are trying to gain another 10%. Payback period for the system will be well below 1 year this way !! |

R&D setup for Bluetooth development |
Bluetooth units 'master' and 'slave' The slave unit is in the upper left corner of the box, the master is the closer and larger print. The aim is, among other things, to develop efficient and effective protocols for starting, stopping and maintaining communications. A minimal subset of the Bluetooth protocol will be used to make things as easy to use as prossible.

If, in future, a system like this can be integrated into the embedded webserver and the DataMax datalogger shown below a very powerfull suite of devices can be the result |

Tiny Bluetooth 'elements' |
Bluetooth 'elements' These elements can be used in further prototyping and in final designs, after things have been pioneered and tested in de R&D setup above,.

Wireless prototyping element |
This protyping element fits into two 6 pin headers Al you need to get microcontrollers talking to each other without the messy cables and wires. The maximum range is 100 m

Embedded WebServer The WebServer (front) and the Basic Stamp in the background connect the 'Weatherstation Voorschoten' to the internet.

Bromsmurf's new family of Dataloggers |
Battery powered miniature Datalogger In this first instrument of the new family of Dataloggers. Excellent measurement of temperature and relative humidity are combined with a large datamemory and extremely long baterylife (up to 10 years under normal conditions)
