Bromsmurfs miscellaneous equipment

Bernina 1953

Bernina 117K, 1953 This machine is heavily used and needed some reconditioning at several essential points. It came complete, with all bits and pieces and with the manual and a certificate. The Smurfin uses this machine for quilting and making handbags. These old machines are so super strong if compared to the more recent models, it is hard to believe that all the excellent properties have been engineered out in the past few decades.

Singer 1935

Singer 15M, 1935 Our oldest and most powerfull machine. It stitches through 8 layers of Denim with ease and makes beautifull sewing patterns. We bought it for € 25,- from a Singer dealer who defenitelly did not now what he sold :-). Power is controlled by moving your right knee, but that will be changed to an electronic system developed by Bromsmurf. We did that for the Bernina allready and the results are super. Good regulation and gentle yet powerfull at low speeds. So, soon this machine will be a Singer 15M - electronic, like the Bernina 117K - electronic :-).

Smurfins trade is designing and constructing handbags, for this work the old machines are indispensable. She allso has her own shop on the internet:
