The BromShop Bromsmurf has a small but very well equiped shop for all mechanical work that has to be done for the electronics engineering and prototyping.
The Dremel multi tool
The Dremel Multi-Pro, 5.000 to 33.000 rpm Extremely good for the small details. Drills holes free hand from 1 to 3 mm with ease and there are lots of (high speed) cutting, grinding and trimming tools available. To me it is like a 'third hand'.
The very powerfull yet elegant Makita
Makita battery powered drilling tool 0-200/600 rpm. Most often used for 'ad-hoc' drilling tasks and together with the Dremel for the detail work.
Precision cutting and drilling machine
Precision cutter and drill, 900-6.000 rpm To cut holes of arbitrary shape in printed circuits and frontplates of electronics cabinets. To drill holes from 1 to 8 mm in non-ferro metals and plastics, in ABS up to 20 mm. The cutter has a 150x150 mm X-Y positioning table.
The lathe
Mini lathe to make all the nipples and fittings Not used as often as the other machines but sometimes essential to let a project become succesfull.
